Experience

• Over 40 years of experience in the clinical laboratory field of which 38 years was spent as a Laboratory Director of a large medical group in Chula Vista.
• Formerly a Forensic Alcohol Supervisor for the Chula Vista Clinical Laboratory, a California licensed Forensic Alcohol Laboratory.
• Over 25 years of experience in forensic and clinical toxicology, including consultations with the legal community, hearings, depositions and court testimony.
• Testified over 400 times in the California Municipal, Superior and Military Courts on alcohol and other drugs of abuse issues.
• Testified over 100 times in DMV/APS hearings.

• The International Association of Forensic Toxicologists (TIAFT)
• California Association of Toxicologists, American Association of Bioanalysts, and Board certified by the American Board of Bioanalysis (MCLD).

• Certificate in Continuing Education in Alcohol Studies, 1984; Chemical Dependency Nursing, 1987; Recovery Services, 1987, University of California, San Diego
• Post-degree courses at U.C.L.A. U.C.S.D. and San Diego State University, including advances in biochemistry, seminars in drug analysis with special emphasis on toxic effects of alcohol on the human body.
• Currently involved in continuing education courses, seminars and workshops in the field of forensic and clinical toxicology as well as clinical laboratory disciplines.   Current information flow also involves the use of Medline and Biomedical Libraries and the internet for published papers of interest in related fields. A local journal club provides an in-depth background in clinical toxicology.
